I'm baaack and all about hoods

Uh-oh, I know, it has been too long since I've last written here... time sure flies. So much has been happening around here in the last few weeks that I'd honestly lost track of days and nights passing, and just kept going with the flow of this hectic life. I was working a lot and then partying a lot with long-lost and newly-found friends, I was meeting my bestie who came by for a short visit from Armenia and then helping out another bff who is pregnant and then visiting my Grandma (and getting loads of awesome vintage stash passed on to me!) and studying (I'm back to Uni for my MA again, I think I haven't told you about this yet?) AND we've been looking for a new flat to rent but we couldn't find any (it ain't that easy when you have a dog and two cats) so we moved out of the flat that we'd been renting for the last year anyway, to temporarily live with my Mum. As you can see, life is as chaotic as can be. I hope now that we're staying at Mum's, it will all settle down. Right now we are finally done with living in boxes and crates, out stuff is unpacked and rooms rearranged to meet out needs. I think the storm has passed.

For the time being, though, since I don't have any outfit photos to show (even though I've been enjoying this layering season a lot and letting my clothing creativity flow!), please indulge yourself in some funny photos of me wearing things on my head. I made these hoods based on a a free pattern (with a lovely tutorial!) by Lemon squeezy home. I altered it a bit to better suit my needs and I decided not to use faux fur because, well, I didn't have any and it turned out to be *expensive*. So I'm making my hoods out of wool or thick cotton. They make the perfect gifts and my friends love them! I love them too. If you also love them and would like to have one just like that just for yourself, let me know! I'd love to sew one for ya.

Poza tym przeprowadziliÅ›my siÄ™! I dopiero co urzÄ…dziliÅ›my siÄ™ w swoich nowych pokojach.

  2. OMG, this is the cutest thing ever! And I like your version better then furry ones. Now I want to make one too :) I was already planning to sew a coat and I wanted to include some sort of hood, now I'm determined to make it with this one! Since I'm a bit obsessed with red foxes it's gonna be well suited too :)

    1. Oooh, a coat with a hood like this would be awesome! I hope you make it and show it off! Corageous thing to do, I think, to sew a coat by yourself. I'm still feeling not trained enough to carry out such complicated and large projects :). Fingers crossed for you!
